Maleisië: Afbeelden Jezus is niet halal

Eerst werd in Maleisië verboden om nog langer de naam allah te gebruiken, behalve wanneer men refereerde aan de islamitische god. Daarna las ik berichten dat men op dit verbod terug was gekomen, om het vervolgens toch weer te verbieden. Waar men eerst nog kon beargumenteren dat het woord allah simpelweg als generieke aanduiding voor god gebruikt -en volgens de moslims misbruikt- kon worden, zijn we inmiddels in een nieuwe fase beland.
Vandaag bereikte mij het nieuws dat Engelstalige boeken van christenen in Maleisië in beslag genomen zijn vanwege het feit dat er afbeeldingen van Jezus in te vinden zijn. Zoals u wellicht weet vervult Jezus ook in de islam een rol. Deze rol is echter beperkt tot profeet en niet, zoals de christenen stellen, de zoon van god (en ook god zelve). Waarom men louter voor Engelstalige boeken kiest, is mij volkomen onduidelijk. Wellicht bestaan er geen andere, om welke religieus onderdrukkende reden dan ook.
Hoe dan ook: Aangezien moslims om een onverklaarbare reden menen dat profeten niet afgebeeld mogen worden -dit kan ons nauwelijks ontgaan zijn-, zijn deze kinderboeken een regelrechte belediging van het islamitische geloof. Ik wacht met smart op het moment dat ook het dragen van het kruis verboden zal worden. Moslims geloven namelijk ook niet in de kruisiging, laat staan de wederopstanding. Heeft iemand nog twijfels over de totalitaire trekjes van de islam of zijn dit weer geen echte moslims?

Aan de andere kant is de koran weer een provocatie voor christenen, want in de koran staat:

SHAKIR: Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah, He is the Messiah, son of Marium; and the Messiah said: O Children of Israel! serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Surely whoever associates (others) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden to him the garden, and his abode is the fire; and there shall be no helpers for the unjust.

YUSUFALI: They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.
PICKTHAL: They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no Allah save the One Allah. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve.
SHAKIR: Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah is the third (person) of the three; and there is no god but the one Allah, and if they desist not from what they say, a painful chastisement shall befall those among them who disbelieve.
